From the Desk of JT DeBolt...

I was born in Pocatello, Idaho and raised in Boise. It was there that I found a fondness for the outdoors, particularly the mountains.

Skiing, biking, hiking, and spending summers on the Boise River encompassed most of his childhood. I was the oldest of four and joined the Navy in 1989.

In 1996 I attended the University of Colorado and graduated in 2000 with a BA in Geology

(which I'm not getting a lot of use out of!)

I went on to graduate as a Naval pilot on September 7, 2001 and was assigned to Patrol Squadron One as pilot of the P-3C Orion anti-submarine and reconnaissance aircraft. It was there that I met Mia.

From the Desk of Mia DeBolt...

I was born in Seoul, South Korea. I was adopted at the age of 3 and was raised in Pleasanton, California with two brothers. I'd have to admit,I didn't have much direction or passion until later in my twenties, but the timing couldn't have been more perfect.

I attended the University of California at Los Angeles in 1995 where I joined NROTC (the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corp) and graduated with a BA degree in International Development Studies in 1999 (yet another useless degree!)

Much to my dismay, the Navy swept me away to Whidbey Island, Washington to be a Navigator on P-3C Orions (I really wanted to be stationed in Hawaii, but you'll see why the law of attraction was too great to overcome!)

From Mia and JT DeBolt...

It was in our Washington squadron, on our first deployment to the Persian Gulf where we first met.

Our relationship was purely platonic at that point, but a strong, healthy friendship blossomed along the sandy beaches of Diego Garcia, and on many night flights into countries that we cannot name.

We found each other to be consoling friends taking all the blows as "newbies" in stride. Together, we weathered the intense moments of being surrounded by negative people, the desolate dessert, and the moments of self doubt.

JT will tell you that we actually met for the first time in our training squadron in Jacksonville, FL about 3 months prior, but since Mia doesn't remember this quick encounter, it never happened ;)

We are happily married now, live in beautiful San Diego, and have a beautiful daughter, Callie, who we love and adore.. She is speckled on this website so you can see what we mean!

We'll expecting our second child, Max, in June of 2008 so stay tuned for new pictures from the DeBolts!

Hobbies and Interests

One of our greatest joys is family time. We love spending time with Callie; whether it is a trip to the beautiful local beaches, spending time with the rhinos at the San Diego Zoo, or just a casual walk to the park. We most love being outdoors.

Skiing is one of our greatest outdoor passions! We also love hiking, mountain biking, running, camping and the active life.

JT loves flying, and does it full time in the Navy and in August 2008 he too will be able to quit his

job. He has accumulated over 1,500 hours of flight experience, a lot of which has been in the

Beechcraft Super King Air 200. It won’t be long before we command ìDEBO 12î, our own private plane!

One of JT's all-time passions is football, and eventually he will fulfill a childhood dream of taking ownership of his beloved Seattle Seahawks.

Mia enjoys swimming, painting and photography. Since she has quit her job, she has more time to devote to all of her hobbies! There is nothing like quitting your job and making time for what you love to do.

We both love to cook, love great wine, and cherish laughter with close friends and family. Life is about the adventure! And when you can share it with the most special people in your life, well that is living!

We have traveled the world together, visiting places like Singapore, Bahrain, Diego Garcia (look it up, it's beautiful!), Oman, Iraq, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Thailand, The Philippines, Korea, China, Japan, Australia and The Bahamas.

And that was just in the past 5 years! World travel is definitely something we will plan on enjoying

more of throughout our lives!

We feel very blessed in the short lives we have lived so far. It is tremendously important to both of us to give back to a world that we are so amazed by everyday.

We have both served this great nation as officers in the U.S. Navy, and are excited to serve it for the rest of our lives as entrepreneurs by developing our business to help raise capital for charities that fight our country’s rising homeless epidemic by providing high-quality affordable housing, as well

as to create more jobs for Americans all over the country.

Also something that is very near and dear to our heart: we will be starting a Breast Cancer Research Facility to help find the cure for cancer. On April 20, 2006, JT lost a best friend and mentor in his step-mom, Pam, to inflammatory breast cancer. We are dedicated to building a world-class cancer research center in the near future.

There aren’t enough hours in the day to fill our busy lives, but that is what makes life so fun! We are excited about every new challenge and adventure, and have SO much in store for the future!
